National and international artisans come to Puerto Vallarta, perhaps for inspiration from the region’s bounty from Mother Nature and perhaps to be a part of one of the most rapidly growing art communities in North and South America.

Upscale, sophisticated galleries feature works of celebrated and emerging artists. Folk art galleries exhibit original art work, ceremonial dance masks and artistic items created from techniques handed down over the centuries from one generation to another. Roadside markets abound with colorful amateur paintings waiting for savvy shoppers to practice their bargaining skills.
