It's early December and Puerto Vallarta is one of Mexico's most popular destinations, offering a world to explore off the beaten track. An hour's drive from Puerto Vallarta is the Pacific Ocean, home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, as well as a number of restaurants, bars and hotels. While in Puerto Valle, you will encounter roving mariachi bands playing on the beach and in restaurants. Brass and brass, large and small, together form the majority of the Banda groups that can be seen in and around PuertoVallarta. I found myself on a beach that looked like it should have been a playground, but there were a lot of people on it, many of them young and some older.
In Malecon, the Los Arcos Ampitheater (sometimes called Teatro Aquiles Serdan) is a venue for free shows and cultural events of all kinds sponsored by the city of Puerto Vallarta. The idea of forming an official band for PuertoVallarta first arose, but it was not performed until the late 1980s and early 1990s with the help of some local musicians. Today, the Puerto Valle Town Band performs on the beach and in restaurants, as well as at a number of other venues in the city. There is no doubt that they play all genres and rhythms, a tradition that began in 1981 when the ensemble was founded, supported by the local government.

Puerto Vallarta is a destination that has been welcoming travelers for many years and is very much on the tourist trail. It is one of my favorite places in Mexico, and I am sure it will be one of you, because it is an adventure and still offers off-the-beaten track adventures for those who are willing to seek it.
For adrenaline junkies, the Canopy River Tour is one of the best activities in Puerto Vallarta, and although diving - diving in the Caribbean - is always nice to do, even if it's not the "best" in Mexico.
On my recent trip to Puerto Vallarta, I joined the Mex - Ology tour, enjoying the amazing music of the Mexican national anthem, "Cielto Lindo." The amazing and beautiful Ciel to Lindos, also known as the other national anthem of Mexico, is greeted by a group that offers a great view of a beautiful beach and a good view of the sea, and of course of the beautiful sunsets.
